Dr Patricia Awiti

Dr. Patricia Awiti is a published public health expert with over eighteen years of research, teaching and project management experience. She has worked extensively on family planning and reproductive health within priority populations with HIV and AIDS in low, middle and high income countries such as Uganda, Kenya and Sweden respectively.
Passionate about promotion and uptake of good health in women of reproductive age and children, Dr. Awiti strongly believes that a state of total health is a universal goal for every mankind. She is vastly trained in a range of modalities including community engagement and entry, research design and implementation (qualitative narratives,
cohort studies and clinical trials). She holds a PhD in Global Health from Karolinska Institutet and a MA in Technology and Social Change from Linköpings University, both in Sweden and a BA in Sociology from Kenyatta University, Kenya. She also has a graduate certificate on Health Economics from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
